Beautiful weather and a great day. Ryan and I went to see as much of the Cyber Arts Festival as we could in one day. We saw the yellow arrows exhibit, and got some yellow arrows for are own. After seeing the exhibit, we found a bunch of arrows around town and texted them, so cool. We put some of our own up to spread the Yellow Arrows.

The Cyber Arts at Kenddal is fantastic, there are tons of really great exhibits there. You need to go down and take a look.

The end of the day.

Ryan found a treasure map.

What a great way to make public art more public. People point out art with yellow arrows that can be tracked by text messaging, creating a “real-world hyperlink”
Through this location-based exchange of text-messages, the Yellow Arrow becomes a symbol for the unique characteristics, personal histories, and hidden secrets that live within our everyday spaces
“A HREF=WINDOW” the thesis for Evan Roth grad student at Parsons School of Design.
“Friday night I did some more digital projection tests. These videos don’t do justice to how fun it was to see this stuff projected 6 stories high, but if you squint your eyes and use your imagination you can start to get an idea of what it looked like.”
Robots that put clothes through intense situations to test the durability. Its great to know that your garments are tested tough.
“In short, to mimic dangerous situations so you don’t have to.”
I know at some point in time that this will happen, but I just hope not this soon. You need to keep your eyes open as a designer/developer and be ready for then next move. I know that these are all just opinions and who cares what the say, but they are good points.
Adobe be nice to flash…
“if you’re hitching your career to Flash, it might be a good time to look at alternatives.”
“how many Flash designers does the world need? Anyhow, most of the good things you can do with Flash, you can do about as well with DHTML (oops that’s called AJAX now) and your “backâ€? button still works.” - Dave Shea

Adobe and Macromedia are merging together to create a much more powerful interactive environment.
“The combination of Adobe and Macromedia will provide customers a more powerful set of solutions for creating, managing and delivering compelling content and experiences across multiple operating systems, devices and media. Together, the two companies will meet a wider set of customer needs and have a significantly greater opportunity to grow into new markets, particularly in the mobile and enterprise segments.”

Awesome day. It was the first really nice sunny day in the city, everyone was outside. Oh-course we had to go out (Ryan, Hue, and I). We saw and did a ton, everything from yo-yo people to a bull dog gathering. The yo-yo people were unreal, so funny. yoyoshow.com

The Shirtless Dingos Crew.
The Showing was awesome, there were some great films. Can’t wait till next year. Ill post the final version with all the bells and whistles soon.

A fantastic weekend to say the least. I had a chance to be a part of the 48 Hour Film Festival. I will post the film and more info soon. Please come and watch our film at Kendall Theater tomorrow at 7:00pm and 9:00pm.
