I put together a tutorial for class and figured I would share it with everyone. This is a very simple lesson on how to accesses the bitmapData Class in Flash 8. The end result is a pixel stretch with a live video feed.

Concept:
IDEA:039 (Interactive Paper) is a collaborative art project. Through interaction with a camera the artist composes a designs in time lapse. The results are then uploaded to Flickr, creating a growing “piece of paper”.

Keep in mind this is new technology. Updates will arrive as the software develops. Uploading take some time, be patient. Hopefully Flash 8.5 and AS3 will fix this problem.

Tiger is sick, there are a ton of new features and bugs as well. Its great though everyone should get it so we can have more 4-way chats.

Jobs forgot to mention at the keynote that you need to have all the internet connections in the world to make the 4-way work properly. I got it to work, but users come in a little blurry. The requirements are unreal for people to actually host a chat, cool though.

So when is this amazing update going to happen. I want to know about this “home sync”. There is no documentation on it but It will fix this desktop to laptop syncing problem in life, I hope.
